Working on my portfolio, going to try to get a couple more design samples in.

I went to the beach today, tons of fun.
Swam for an hour and then did some reading & sun bathing for two.

I want to make my own country

(old news) Obama was ranting and raving about taking away Guantanamo and restoring Habeas Corpus (the right to a fair trial).
Which sounded lovely, honestly.. deep down I wanted to believe the man.

Hangon, let me just cut to the chase

Basically, Obama said hey everyone I'm taking away detention without trial and I'm replacing it with detention without trial.
No worries, this time we're giving it a fancy name "Indefinite Preventative Detention".

Psst! Somehow got some virus during the two most wonderfully hot days,
no beach for me! Instead I lay watching The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack (great show).

I just want to get a blow up boat and paddle out to the deep water and chill with a cooler of soft drinks. Drink them all and use my burps to propel me back to shore.

Mad Bluebird

This is an illustration of a well known photograph called "Mad Bluebird".

I've painted this for fathers day as a gift to my dad.
He's always wanted a print of the photograph, and I thought i'd make him one.
I did think about actually buying a print, but I'm unemployed and dirt poor!

However, I think he'll be very happy with this copy :)

I want a PS3 when FF XIII comes out.
I haven't gamed in awhile and I'm really in the mood for Final Fantasy.
The graphics look so good, it makes me teary eyed.

I was rummaging through old papers from when i was a little one.

I'm going to be redoing the studio, so I decided to make some artwork that I would like on the walls.

Fawn Card

Silk screened these with my Yudu.
I think they turned out to be adorable,
just keep your mouth shut if you think otherwise!

Read a lot of reviews about people being very frustrated with the Yudu.
I have only done screen prints through the Yudu, and they seem to come out fine for me.
I had one bad experience recently, and it's mainly because I was being lazy and not going through the proper steps.
All in all it's a toy, it's not extremely professional.
I try to limit the designs that I do, so they'll come out properly.

I hope to get a real screen printing system going in the near future!

My shop will be having a showcase soon on the 5th ,

I'm sticking to real cute girly art,
because it's etsy & I think that type of art caters more towards the shoppers.
However I am going to need to take a break from that and start doing some more serious cooler pieces.

As for updates,
yesterday I tried some screen printing.
I've got myself a little setup going, it's pretty rad.
Though I'm short on supplies so I have to go get some more.
I messed up with the first screen, but the second came out loverly.

I can't wait to get more supplies and start printing out a bunch of stuff!
Love the way it looks, nothing like it!

Went to the copy shop a few days ago to get a few prints.
Have to go back tomorrow because I've gotten 4 new orders,
but I'm gonna try a nicer print place.

I want to screen print

I don't have the funds.
So I made a really low end stencil and bought some yellow ink.
I didn't burn a screen...
I just made a screen out of an old frame from the
goodwill and then took some nylon stretch fabric and stretched it over.
I then drew in a little image and took some modge podge and filled in the negative space.

Easter Eve Beach Picnic

I made my mom go out to the lighthouse beach to have a picnic with me, because damnit I love beach picnics.


Anyway it was cold and my mom threw a jacket over her head.
Funny thing is... I too have thrown jackets over my head in public, I had no idea I got it from my mom.


I didnt know she took a picture of me hunched over eating yummy homemade popcorn.


Then we went to another small beach on the bay.


& I saw some cool looking worm wood


Very exciting stuff

Then I came home and fed my aunt and uncles cat, they're on vacation.
I really love animals

I know not everyone has orange hair, but it looks good paired with the blue.
I love blue, I think I use it a little too much... but it's such a refreshing color.

Big Brother

So this "Eye Saw That" phrase and idea
popped into my head, and I couldn't not create it.
People are loving the all seeing eye right now, i don't know why.
Do they just think it looks cool?
I'm thinking so, and id feel the same way
if I didnt associate it with other things.
You can call me a kook,
but I gave the little all seeing eye a monster look because
I think it is a monster!

I need to re-work the lettering.
With the word "that" being larger then the rest, it gets wrongly emphesized.
